ABOUT ME

I’m Kylie, The Cat Lady Norwich, and I’m a mobile cat sitter based in central Norwich (St Benedicts Street), so if you live in NR1, NR2, NR3, NR6 or NR7 and looking for a top rate alternative to using a cattery when you are away from home for your precious feline friends, you’ve come to the right place! I have one cat of my own, Maggie, who is my baby, and the reason I set up the service. I have owned cats from a very young age, and have over 20 years experience in pet care.

Cats are very territorial creatures, and love their home comforts, so why would you want it to be any different when you go on holiday, weekends away or work trips? It saves them the stress of the cattery itself, as well as you the stress of getting them there! Even while some cats may appear to be fine in a cattery environment, you will instantly see the difference that staying at home makes on your return, and it reduces the risk of urinary tract infections, depression and stress for them to stay in their normal routine.

As stated above, I cover NR1, NR2, NR3, NR6 & NR7 with a no holes barred service - once or twice daily visits, or more if needed on medical grounds, but I can cover surrounding postcodes depending on availability. As I am so central, I work 7 days a week, all year round, all weathers, all bank holidays (including Christmas), when the Beast From The East struck earlier in the year I was walking miles to get to visits, so you know that come rain or shine (or blizzard!) I will get to your cat whatever the obstacle!

I set up my business at the end of 2015 alongside my job as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to help other cat owners like myself, who worry about leaving their fur babies in the hands of someone who may not see the harm in accidentally letting out my indoor cat, or leaving the window open, feeding her too much, not filling up her pint glass of water, or stressing her out so much that she picks up bad habits again - like weeing on the sofa or over her toys (which took years to get Maggie out of!). Within 6 months I was able to leave my job of 11 years to pursue The Cat Lady as a full time profession and I have never looked back! My background in medicine also gives me the upper hand when it comes to medical knowledge and confidence, and I am comfortable with giving injections, oral tablets or liquids amongst others. I am trained in Feline First Aid, so you can go away comfortable that should the need arise your cats are in safe hands.

I have 5* status on Facebook and Google, and am fully insured with a current DBS check. Not only does cat sitting help your cat feel at ease when you’re away, it also provides the essential service of making your house look lived in, a great way of reassuring yourself that your home is safe and secure.

Qualified in Pet Business, Feline and Canine First Aid and fully insured - I have owned all kinds of animals from cats, dogs, birds, fish and reptiles, and have experience with horses and small furries as well. No job is too small and all pets are given the correct care and attention that they need. I don’t have a set visit time, this all depends on your cats’ personality, although the maximum amount of time I will stay is around 45 minutes. I can also look after rabbits, guinea pigs, fish and other 'pocket pets', but unfortunately I no longer offer dog sitting, overnight stays and I cannot board in my own home.

All bookings are subject to a meet and greet key collection, so please allow for this when booking (2 weeks is generally a safe amount of time for booking, apart from Easter holidays, Summer holidays and Christmas/New Year which book up a few months in advance!), although once we have met I am usually very flexible and can tailor to short notice bookings as well as in advance, and I offer a Secure Key Holding scheme (see Pricing page) where I hold keys for your property to make it more streamlined when booking, and means theres someone around with a spare key should you have an emergency! I generally spend around 20-30 minutes with you on meeting, taking down all notes on my Pet Care Log so that I know what to expect from your Cat when I visit (and what they expect from me!) I also offer a Final Visit check-out for all bookings completed, so that I can ensure your pet is left clean and happy, and so that you know as well!

Booking couldn't be easier! I am always contactable via Email or text message (07939046220), or if you would prefer to use Facebook, click the link above and send me a message on there!
