I'm Kylie, a mobile cat sitter based in the heart of Norwich City Centre. I live with my cat, Maggie, who is usually very up for photos (unless she knows they are important like the ones for my website, hence why ive taken them myself!), which brings me to why I set up my services!
I set up the business at the end of 2015 alongside my job as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to help other cat owners like myself, who worry about leaving their fur babies in the hands of someone who may not see the harm in accidentally letting out my indoor cat, or leaving the window open, feeding her too much, not filling up her pint glass of water, or stressing her out so much that she picks up bad habits again - like weeing on the sofa or over her toys (which took years to get Maggie out of!). Within 6 months I was able to leave my job of 11 years to pursue The Cat Lady as a full time profession and I have never looked back! Don't let the moniker fool you - I have experience with all types of pets and am looking forward to looking after your cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, chickens - whoever you need me to!
I am fully insured and qualified in Feline/Canine First Aid and Animal Training, mainly covering central Norwich, NR1-NR9 (please contact me for more information on surrounding postcodes as I can cover further too!). I work as a full time cat sitter, feeding and loving the cats of Norwich 7 days a week, all year round (including Christmas and New Year) and I LOVE MY JOB!
As well as visiting your pets to suit them, I also provide the essential service of making your house look lived in whilst you are away, a great way of reassuring yourself that your home is safe and secure. Take a look at the list below for the kind of tasks that are done on a visit. Sitting is a great alternative to catteries and kennels, especially for creatures of habit like cats, who thrive in their own environment. Not only does it take the stress away for them, but it means you no longer have to make the trip to and from the cattery, causing added stress for you too!
I have over 20 years of cat care experience, having grown up with cats as part of the family from a very young age, seeing them grow from kittens, and have owned all kinds of other animals from dogs, birds, fish and have dabbled with horses and small furries too! I've always been mad about animals! No job is too small and all pets are given the care and attention that they need so you can go away relaxed in the knowledge your precious furbabies are loved and happy at home. I have a background of medical knowledge from my old job too so provide a wealth of experience and confidence while administering injections, and giving other medications to your pets.
All bookings include a free meet and greet key collection, and a chance to be in my Secure Key Holding Scheme (see Pricing page), so please allow time for this when booking so that we can find a suitable time for us both, although I am flexible and can usually tailor to short notice bookings as well as in advance. I generally spend around 20-30 minutes with you on your initial meeting, going through all requirements and recording these on my Pet Care log, which I then refer back to when I visit to make sure they are getting the highest standard of care needed for them individually.
In the two or so years I have been a full time sitter I have achieved over 100 reviews between Facebook and Google, with 5* status. The proof is in the pudding - click the Testimonials tab above to read what my current clients have to say!
Booking couldn't be easier! I am always contactable via Email or text message (07939046220), or if you would prefer to use Facebook, click the link above and send me a message on there!
I have a current DBS/Police check, and am insured with Petplan Sanctuary (policy number IS50477601). I can email these documents across to you at any point for peace of mind.
I am a member of the Cats Protection League, and hold certificates for Feline First Aid, Canine First Aid and a Pet Training diploma.
